Hitting store shelves on November 14th, the new 30GB Zune digital-media player by Microsoft is sure to be on he wish list of many this year. The Zune will sell for $249.00 & be in direct competion with the Apple 30GB Ipod.

The Zune will come in black, brown and white. It will have wireless capability that lets people share music, playlists and photos from one Zune to another, and it will feature an FM tuner and a 3-inch LCD screen. There is no doubt in my mind this will be the #1 toy for this Christmas season. If this item is on your kid's christmas list, you better get it now & be willing to pay extra for it. Walmart was selling 5-6 of them per minute. The online pre-sales have exceeded forecast by 150 percent. Fisher Price is already predicting to chase the demand with extra production. The reason for the shortages "Because the technology is so complicated, it's taking longer to make the new Elmo. Fisher-Price is only making between 50 to 60 percent of the full-year production of the new Elmo,"per Jim Silver, editor of Toy Wishes magazine.

This new Elmo reacts to a "tickling" as soon as you turn it on. Its arms flap, it falls to the floor, rolls around and simply can't stop laughing. T.M.X. Elmo has three tickle spots on his chin, tummy or foot. When you tickle Elmo once on any of the tickle spots, he starts to laugh and slap his leg twice, then falls down into a sitting position and rocks himself back up to standing while laughing. When you tickle him a second time, he repeats the pattern, then sits down again and falls backwards, kicking his feet while laughing even harder. Christmas will be here before you know it.

Last week I bought my first christmas gifts, seven of them to be exact. For the last five years I've had all my Christmas shopping done by Thanksgiving. What a relief it is to be at home on those December weekends, not having to fight traffic or mobs. Plus by purchasing the gifts over a period of 3-4 months, there is no cash drain & no maxxing out of credit cards.
